Light brown sugar

Method:
Wipe the apples and remove the cores
with an apple corer. Make a cut through the skin round the middle of
each apple to prevent splitting. Stand the apples in a roasting tin
(pan). Pack the centers with brown sugar. Pour the water around and
bake in a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/gas mark 6 for about 30
minutes or until the apples are tender. Serve hot with pouring cream.
