Simple Chocolate Sauce Recipe

Ingredients: Serves 4

100 g/4 oz/1 cup plain (semi-sweet) chocolate
50 g/2 oz light brown sugar

150 ml water
25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter

Method:

Break up the chocolate and place in a pan with the sugar and water. Heat gently, stirring, until the chocolate has melted. Boil rapidly until the mixture thickens and forms a pouring consistency. Gradually beat in the butter until glossy. Serve hot or cold.
