Mallow Mincemeat Flan Recipe

Ingredients: Serves 8

1 Basic Large Pastry Flan Case, uncooked
2 large cooking (tart) apples, thinly sliced
350 g/12 oz/1 cup mincemeat

75 g/3 oz marshmallows

Method:

Put the pastry- (paste) lined flan tin (pie pan) on a baking (cookie) sheet. Arrange the apple slices in the base. Spread with the mincemeat. Roll out the pastry trimmings and arrange in a lattice pattern on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 190C/375F/gas mark 5 for about 20 minutes.


Snip the marshmallows into halves. Arrange the marshmallows in between the lattice and return to the oven for about 10 minutes until lightly golden and melting. Serve hot.
